Special weekend planned

Good morning! What a great weekend we have planned at First Assembly in the next couple of days! First of all, Lee and Dotty Williams will be with us tomorrow night at 7:00 and Sunday morning at 10:30 for "Through the Tears", a special program in our "Nothing's Too Hard for God" series, that may be the best program yet in the series.  Lee lost his wife and two daughters in a fiery bus crash back in '88. None of us can imagine the incredible pain and sorrow and sense of loss that he went through during that time.  I have heard him tell his story, and can assure you that it is even more compelling and heart-wrenching than what you might imagine. The point, however, of the whole weekend, is not to just offer a "tear-jerker" for those who attend, but to offer hope in the middle of grief.  Lee knows what it's like to experience God's grace in the middle of tragedy, and all who come will be exposed to the offering of this grace. Please know that the meeting tomorrow night will be here at the church, and not at the Huck Boyd Center.  Plan to be here, and bring your friends, neighbors, whomever.  This will not be a service to miss!  Especially, if you know someone going through grief and loss, bring them! At 6:00 Sunday evening, Kent Hulbert will be with us a missions service. Kent, who is an old friend of mine, is a missionary with Youth Alive campus ministries. He was the original state Youth Alive coordinator in the nation (for Wisconsin/Northern Michigan), and paved the way for guys like our own Travis Dumond.  He is now in the national Youth Alive office, and you will be blessed by Kent and his ministry.  I encourage you to come out and get acquainted with him! It's a full weekend, but one that you will not soon forget!  We'll see you then! Pastor Dave Pugh <>< Acts 4:13
