My tip for you today:  DON'T BLOW AWAY!!

 

Also, please be in prayer for Rock Solid as they are now on their way to Kansas Youth Convention in Wichita....on the church bus....in this wind!  Not only do I ask that you pray for the trip, but pray that God's Spirit would powerfully touch each and every young person at this convention!

 

I have to say that I am more than a little relieved that I get to stay home and finish getting ready for Sunday, which is shaping up to be a great day here at First Assembly!  At 10:30 that morning, I will be speaking on "Power for Life".  When I consider the task that God has given His church (evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, worship & ministry), I could be really overwhelmed until I realize the power that He has available for us to accomplish all this!  I encourage you to be here Sunday morning!

 

Then, at 6:00 that evening, we will have a "School of Ministry" installment; this session we will be talking about "The Ministry of Fellowship", or "It's Not Just Another Potluck".  I encourage everyone to come find out why fellowship is so vital to our church, and how you can be used in this ministry!
