Good afternoon, and Happy New Year!
I would like to take this time to invite you to the last church activity we will have in this decade (I know, technically we still have one more year in the decade, so don’t write argumentative notes back to me, please!!!).
Tonight from 8:00 until midnight, we will have our Family Watch Night. We will begin with special “talents” from our congregation ministering upstairs, then we will go downstairs to eat food and play games. Then, at midnight we will celebrate Communion together to usher in this new year and decade.
It’s going to be a lot of fun, and feel free to bring a “talent” or two from your family (our family has a couple of things prepared), and bring some finger foods for the fellowship.
Then, Sunday morning I will be addressing the unique challenge that we have before us as a church in the coming year in the message I am preparing, “Getting Off to a Great Start”. I would encourage you to come and be a part of our first Sunday in the new year!
There will be NO evening activity this Sunday.
