Festival of Missions '08

This Sunday begins one of the highlights of the year at First Assembly.  Our annual Festival of Missions is always an exciting, thrilling celebration of the worldwide proclamation of the gospel, and this year promises to be the best yet!   Dr. Solomon Wang, missionary evangelist to Eurasia (specifically India and Bhutan) will open our missions festival this week.  Dr. Wang is a tremendous communicator.  He is in great demand as speaker at camps, conferences, revival meetings and missionary conventions in India, United States, Canada and other parts of the world.  He has visited 55 nations and has had the privilege of preaching, praying and reading the Bible in all seven continents!  Wherever God takes him, with his unique style of humor complemented with passion, he speaks with deep conviction, conveying to his listeners that he is a man sincerely desirous of bringing the gospel to lost ones.  His heart for God and compassion for the lost and needy souls is clearly evident in his messages.   Dr. Wang will be with us for the 10:30am and 6:00pm services.  You will not soon forget his dynamic ministry. Teens and adults alike will be talking about him for months to come, I promise you that!!   I encourage you to make every effort to be here this Sunday!   Pastor Dave Pugh
