Good morning, church family!
I am so pumped for this Sunday! This is the culmination of our spring-long emphasis on “No Person is Beyond Forgiveness,” and a lot of planning, preparation and prayer have gone into the weekend.
Eric Earhart, pastor at Upper Room Assembly of God in Gatesville, North Carolina will be our speaker in the 10:30 a.m. service. I don’t know if you have seen Eric’s story on nothingstoohardforgod.org, but it is powerful! He spent 42 months in prison for drug trafficing, and at 6′5″, he was quite intimidating. His life of crime, violence and drugs began at the age of 11, but God began to speak to him when he stuck a rifle down someone’s throat, but it misfired, sparing the man’s life.
Eric is truly a living example that no person is beyond forgiveness. At 6:00 Sunday evening, we will be sponsoring the City-Wide BBQ at the city park. This is a free event for the entire community, and we encourage you not only to be there, but bring someone who doesn’t know the Lord! After we eat, Eric will be sharing his testimony, and giving an opportunity for people to accept Christ.
