The STARS group finished a four-week unit
called “Making Right Choices.” Learning how to make decisions based on a Christian perspective poses a problem to all people everywhere, including third through fifith grade girls.
Using the word “HELP” as a memory tool, the girls learned to think through, pray through, and allow God to guide them through situations; H=”Halt!”–stop long enough to really think about the decision they are facing, E=”Examine”–look and think carefully about the options one faces, L=”Listen”–to God’s voice and other Godly leaders, and finally P=”Pick” and that is actually making the right choice.
The girls created a valentine craft project from craft foam with the word “HELP” on it to hang up in their room to remind them to make right choices.
