Christmas program
I wanted to remind you all, and invite you, to our Kids Church Christmas Program tomorrow morning at 10:30, here at First Assembly. The location is a change from what was published in 1st Assembly Lines. We were originally planning for the Huck Boyd, but in light of tight economic times, have decided to hold the program here at the church instead. The program, under my wife's direction, is called "Once Upon a Christmas", and I believe you will enjoy it!
Then at 6:00 tomorrow evening, we have a very special service planned. There are many among us who struggle to have a merry Christmas, whether it is because of grief, loneliness, financial difficulties, sickness or the like. Our service tomorrow night, on the first night of winter, the longest night of the year, will be designed to minister to people in such circumstances. We invite EVERYONE to join us for our "Longest Night Observance", and if you know someone especially struggling at Christmas time, bring them with you! This special service is the culmination of our outreach this fall to those dealing with loneliness, but all who come will be greatly ministered to!
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for our Christmas Sunday celebrations!

Royal Rangers moves to Fischer Building
Beginning Wednesday night, December 10, Royal Rangers Boys Ministries will be moving to the Fischer Building, 205 F Street, in Phillipsburg. Royal Rangers has been meeting at the Community Building since its inception in September of 2007. The move is being made in an effort to find more up-to-date and efficient heating. The church bus will continue to run its normal route, and will drop the boys off and pick them up at the Fischer Building each week. In a related story, the adult Bible Study is moving to the church auditorium also beginning Wednesday, December 10. This had been a home Bible study during the school year, but is now being moved back to the church, to accommodate any adult who would like to join us. Rock Solid Youth Ministries will continue to meet in the gym at the Community Building, and Mpact Girls Ministries will continue to meet at the church.2
Kids Krusade 08 - Boot Camp
The Kid's Krusade for 2008 was a great success and a lot of fun. This year's theme was "Boot Camp" and so the entire 4 days of the Krusade had a Boot Camp style theme. One day the kids were asked to wear camo, another day was to wear Red/White/Blue, and another night they had to bring an American Flag. Below is a few photos from this year's krusade: Each night of the Krusade there was an offering taken. The boys dropped their offering in a bucket and their girls did as well. After the buckets were weighed to see which team received the prize the money was counted for the boys and girls. On the final night a grand total of the offering was announced for the boys team and the girls team. If the boys won then Nita would be turned into an ice cream sundae, if the girls won then Pastor Dave would be. I would mention the winner, but I think you will be able to tell by the photos below:0

Royal Ranger Campout
On June 20-21 the Discovery Rangers and Adventure rangers from our Royal Rangers ministry headed out to Logan, Kansas for an exciting campout. This was a great time for the boys to get out and have some fun and a chance to learn more about God. Take some time and view the photos. What is Royal Rangers? This is a ministry that is in over 65 nations across the world, motivating boys spiritually through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, and Christian role models. The boys also have the opportunity to participate in age-specific activities and recreation. To learn more about the Royal Rangers check out the Official Royal Rangers website0
